  • Academic probation or suspension by the academic dean
  • An advisor hold

  • Noncompletion of a loan exit interview
  • Student loan accounting by the Financial Aid Office

Completing Enrollment

Enrollment will be processed according to the dates listed on the enrollment schedule and based on graduation/retention credit hours earned (excluding hours currently enrolled).

Steps for Computer Self-Enrollment
For Computer self-enrollment, visit Online Enrollment (SIS).

Note: Nonpayment and/or nonattendance do not constitute withdrawal from classes.

OSU-Tulsa offers junior, senior and graduate courses. All students are transfer students and must present, at a minimum, approximately two years of college work for admissions.

NEW APPLICANTS:
Any individual desiring to enroll must first be admitted to Oklahoma State University.

Undergraduate applicants are encouraged to apply online at http://admissions.okstate.edu/AdmissionApplicationPacket.html, or obtain an admissions application from either the Undergraduate Admissions Office, 1st floor Administration Hall, or the Prospective Student Services Office, 1st floor North Hall 130.  It is recommended that applications for admission and official transcripts in sealed envelopes be submitted at least 4 to 6 weeks prior to attempting to enroll.  Once a student is admitted, the student must make an appointment to see their academic advisor and have their advising hold removed (each semester) before they will be able to enroll.

Graduate applicants need to apply online at http://gradcollege.okstate.edu/admissions/default.htm.   It is recommended that applications for admission and official transcripts be submitted at least 4 to 6 weeks prior to attempting to enroll.  Once admitted, graduate students should contact Graduate Admissions in the Graduate Student Services Center, 1st floor Administration Hall, before they will be able to enroll.  Individual program deadlines may vary.

FORMER STUDENTS:

Undergraduate students who were not enrolled for the previous semester will need to make application for readmission and are encouraged to apply online at http://admissions.okstate.edu/AdmissionApplicationPacket.html, or obtain an admissions application from either the Undergraduate Admissions Office, 1st floor Administration Hall, or the Prospective Student Services Office, 1st floor North Hall 130.  It is recommended that applications for admission and official transcripts in sealed envelopes be submitted at least 4 to 6 weeks prior to attempting to enroll.  Once a student is admitted, the student must make an appointment to see their academic advisor and have their advising hold removed (each semester) and receive financial clearance from the Bursar’s Office, 1st floor Administration Hall, before they will be able to enroll.

Undergraduate students applying for readmission who previously attended OSU and left on academic probation must complete a Readmit Petition form.  These petitions must be reviewed by the College to which they are applying for a decision regarding admissibility.  Therefore, the admissions process may take longer to complete.  For deadlines to submit petitions, contact the individual college.

Graduate students should contact Graduate Admissions in the Graduate Student Services Center, 1st floor Administration Hall, and receive financial clearance from the Bursar’s Office, 1st floor Administration Hall, before they will be able to enroll.  Individual program deadlines may vary.

Late Enrollment
For summer session enrollment dates, visit the Academic Calendar. Fall classes begin August 18, 2008. A late enrollment fee of $50 will be charged to all students who enroll after classes begin. The last day to enroll for Fall 2008 is August 25, 2008.

Permission Required/Closed Classes (Class Enrollment Maximum)
The maximum number of students permitted to be enrolled in each section of a course is determined by the department head and can be increased or decreased only by the department head or dean. Students may enroll in a permission required or closed class if:

  1. The increase in class size does not exceed the limit set by the Fire Marshall (check with Enrollment Services), and
  2. The department head (not the instructor) agrees to increase the class size and provides the student with a signed letter or memo (on departmental letterhead) increasing the class size by one.

Closed or Cancelled Sections
To learn more about a closed or cancelled section, log in to SIS or speak with an advisor.

Time Conflicts
Students may enroll in classes that have a time conflict provided the instructor writes a letter or memo (on departmental letterhead) stating that the time conflict is not a problem. The letter or memo must have both instructors' signatures, even if only one class will be affected. These signatures may be on separate letters/memos or on a single letter/memo.

Short Courses
Short courses that are offered for resident credit are listed in the schedule under the various department offerings. Sufficient in-class and out-of-class academic work should be expected to warrant the number of credit hours earned in each class, according to OSHRE policy.
