How to Enroll for Classes at OSU-Tulsa

  1. Know your enrollment date.

Your enrollment date is based upon your number of completed hours. You can find your completed hours in SIS. Enrollment date information can also be found in the OSU-Tulsa Enrollment Guide or the OSU Office of the Registrar website.

  2. Know your degree requirements.

Know what classes are required for your degree and which classes you still need to take.

  3. Check out the class schedule.

Make a list of classes that fit your schedule and your degree program. You can search for classes held in Stillwater or online using SIS.

  4. Check to make sure you have no holds.

Check for holds using SIS under Student Records. Academic advising holds must be removed by your advisor. Learn more about other kinds of holds at the OSU Office of the Registrar website.

  5. Make an appointment with your advisor.
  6. You may make an appointment for advising one week before your enrollment date. Have your schedule and CWID ready when you call to make your appointment.

Before your appointment, download and read the advising syllabus and fill out all pre-advising paperwork as described in the scheduling instructions. Bring a photo ID with you to campus. Your advisor will not be able to see you without these items.

  7. Enroll in classes using SIS or in person.
  8. For detailed enrollment instructions, visit the OSU-Tulsa Enrollment Services website.
