In-Class Visits and Tours

We encourage instructors to contact us to schedule an in-class presentation or tour. We will introduce the Learning Services Center to your students in a short 10-15 minute in-class visit or tour of the facilities. During the tours and class visits, we will give details about the services that we offer, our hours and our basic tutoring philosophies. A Learning Services Center tour or in-class visit is a good way to encourage students to seek outside assistance and support from the start of the semester. We'll even pass out bookmarks, pencils, and rulers to remind students to use our facilities. Please Contact Us to schedule a visit or tour.

If you would like a supply of bookmarks, pencils, rulers, brochures for your students, contact us, and we'll be happy to send some along.

Put Us in Your Syllabus

Some instructors choose to include information about the Writing Center in their syllabus or introductory materials. You may want to remind students about the Writing Center when you discuss your expectations for the writing they will complete in the course. Additionally, some instructors encourage students to visit the Writing Center after reviewing and returning the first draft of the students' first writing assignment.
