In addition to the multiple-choice CLEP exam, OSU requires a computer-based e-Write essay component. Examinees testing on the OSU campus will receive the results of their CLEP exam the same day it is administered. Examinees are strongly encouraged to take this exam at an OSU Testing Center. If unable to do so, please contact the testing office for the possibility of taking the e-Write essay component on the Web at another test center.
OSU requires an essay component for the CLEP History and Western Civilization exams, in addition to the multiple-choice section. This essay component is available only at the OSU-Tulsa and OSU-Stillwater Testing Centers. Therefore, examinees interested in obtaining credit in these History or Western Civilization courses should not test at any other test center. The CLEP test score report reflects a numerical score for the multiple-choice portion only. Examinees are advised to disregard the test score report and wait for official notification from OSU of the final results, which include scoring of the essay component.
