For many centuries, labyrinths have promoted a greater sense of self-awareness and spiritual growth. Today labyrinths are used in hospitals, schools, churches, and libraries. In the stress and complexity of modern life, it is believed that they help bring balance to our lives. Try out the new labyrinth located just outside the OSU-Tulsa Library! When papers and exams feel overwhelming on top of your family and work responsibilities, take a few minutes out of your busy day to walk our labyrinth. Hopefully you will experience a meditative state that will calm and relax you. In the past few years, finger labyrinths have been found to facilitate relaxation and brain synchrony, which can result in greater creativity and learning capability. Finger labyrinth coasters are available to take with you. The OSU-Tulsa Library is here to assist you in your research as well as make your college experience pleasant and as stress free as possible.

The Library has partnered with Dr. Amy Bowersock in bringing the labyrinth to the OSU-Tulsa campus. The labyrinth also is co-sponsored by the Wellness Department’s “America’s Healthiest Campus.” The Sparq 2 Labyrinth is on loan for the Fall semester from the University of Oklahoma by Matt Cook, Emerging Technologies Librarian.
